Brittany Watson is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. She grew up in an inner city environment, where morals seem to change on a daily basis. Thus, the writer encountered a lot as a young adult than most of her peers. Watson was a child introvert, and said to possess an “old soul”.

Many often referred to her as quiet and shy. Throughout her years of education, she gravitated to all forms of art, by participating in countless plays, recitals, pageants, and performances. However, due to her reserved nature, her relationship words became quite significant. Influenced by personal experiences, she found her calling at the early age of twelve.

The content of her poems include the rise and fall of people controlled by the laws of life, love, spirituality, and addiction. She saw the cause and effect of these situations, and displayed the inevitable cycle of life in her writing. Her work expresses a powerful voice contrary to her laidback outer demeanor.

The national scholar and former beauty pageant contender is currently attending Morgan State University with a focus in communications.
